We Did a Lot of Great Content in 2017
By Pete Guzzo
In 2017, Kestum Bilt produced a lot of video content. But the volume isn’t the story.
The story is the team that executed it, the client relationships that made it possible, and what we figured out about doing ambitious work without compromising on the output.
The Work That Mattered
A few standouts from the year:
Jackson Memorial: “Miracles Made Daily” A healthcare brand film built around the real people inside the system. The kind of work that doesn’t photograph well on paper but lands hard when you see it.
UF: “This Is Florida” University content that actually captured something true about the place instead of defaulting to campus-tour footage.
These aren’t the only pieces worth mentioning. It was a full year. But they represent what we were trying to do: find the real story inside the brief and execute it at a level the client couldn’t have gotten anywhere else.
What Made It Work
The honest answer: strategy before the camera turns on. Every project that landed well in 2017 had pre-production done right. Every project that got complicated had a pre-production gap somewhere.
That’s not a new lesson. It’s just one that keeps proving itself.
What We Took into 2018
The ambition to keep taking on work that’s bigger than the obvious brief. The discipline to make sure the strategy matches the scale. And the team to execute when both are in place.
That’s the only formula that compounds.
